This Boy Had The Northern Lights In His Bucket List. The Reason Why Will Make You Cry
Could you ever imagine a bucket list like this? If you wear prescription lenses or contacts, or have color blindness or similar ailments, you may need to sit down for this one.
Ben Pierce, nine, is going to go blind someday. As a baby, was born four months too early. He was born healthy except for the fact that his eyes did not develop normally. Doctors operated on him, but this was ultimately only a temporary fix. The scar tissue from the surgery will eventually cover up Ben’s eyes and cause total blindness.
Here and now, he has a bucket list of things to see before he no longer can, and one key item has been scratched off. Thanks to a pilot in Alaska, he was flown over to see the Northern Lights. He might not get to see everything on his list, but this one was a special experience.
As Ben put it, it was like watercolors going across the sky.
