This Woman Lived With 200 Sloths Who Lost Their Homes. She Did The Best For Them Until They Were Relocated.
Have you ever seen a sloth so happy in your life? So, you may have already known that sloths have the most humanlike smiles, but you may not have been as intimate with them as this. In this gallery, the sloths are all smiles as they get fed by hand, as they hang out by the window, and just chill in their own little bowls.
A piece of forest near the capital, Paramaribo, was being cleared and Monique was asked to remove 14 sloths. Four days into the rescue operation they realized they were dealing with way more than 14 sloths.
“After a month we were close to 100, and at the end we got to 200,” says Pool. “On some days I had 50 animals at my house. We had 17 babies at one point, being fed with droppers by volunteers.” The Sloths were nurtured and taken care of until they could again be released into the wild.
In fact, we’re pretty sure if it had the volition for it, it would be taking its own sloth selfies all the time. You can check out the adorableness of it all as much as you want in our gallery below.
