14-year-old suffers broken bones, spinal compression after ‘avoidable’ fall at trampoline park

After an ‘avoidable’ fall at a trampoline facility, a 14-year-old sustains fractured bones and spinal compression.

Trampolines and adventure parks are popular summertime getaways for children, but a 14-year-old girl from Sugar Land says she would never go again.

She fell earlier this month and shattered both of her ankles. Her spine was also swollen. According to her family and their lawyer, this was not an accident.

The Ispahani family has filed a negligence lawsuit against Urban Air Adventure Park. They said the workmen put Sascha into a harness for her 30-foot ascent, but no fall safety equipment was linked to it.

It was the most terrifying event of their life, Amaneh, her mother, explained.

They were all terrified. It continued to frighten her since she had no idea what was wrong with her, Sascha said.

The video depicts what occurred after she plunged from the granite face. Sascha had previously stated that the workers had approved her to climb.

They glanced at her as though there was something amiss, yet they simply let her go, Sascha explained.

Her mom had dropped her off to a friend’s house to play. The accident occurred less than 30 minutes afterwards. Amaneh dialed 911 and then returned to the park.

They were taking her out on a stretcher when she arrived.  The mom  panicked out when she heard her daughter had fallen and saw that climb. As a mom, she naturally assumed the worst, she stated.

Sascha was hospitalized for four days. Doctors believe she has damaged bones and will require extensive rehabilitation. Her mother claimed that the wounds may have been avoided if park personnel had merely linked a fall safety rope to her harness.

This would not have occurred if they had not been negligent.  That is what irritates her the most. This was not necessary, Amaneh stated.

She is currently collaborating with lawyer Jason Gibson to ensure that this does not occur to other children.

It was either a total and utter collapse in their policies and processes, or they simply don’t have any policies and procedures in this area. Both are unacceptable, Gibson stated.

He has filed a case against Urban Air, its management firm, and the construction company.

The same thing has occurred at Urban Airs all around the country. They clearly haven’t learnt their lesson. They  guarantee that in this situation, they will make certain that the firm does, Gibson stated.
