70-Year-Old Woman Shoots, Kills Home Intruder — Has 5 Words For Future Criminals

After receiving a complaint of a “burglary in process” at Brentwood Street and Farrell Avenue in Orlando, Florida, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to deputies. However, by the time authorities came, it was too late to take any precautionary actions in relation to the break-in. Rather, they were there to provide emergency medical care.

When authorities arrived, they discovered a practically dead male with a single gunshot wound to the chest. Ezequiel Rosario-Torres, 38, was eventually identified as the accused. Virginia Morrison, a small and seemingly harmless 70-year-old lady, was just steps away.

Rosario-Torres passed away in the hospital. It was now up to Morrison to piece together the events for the authorities. She said that she had interrogated the accused after he had broken into her home.

Morrison initially tried to fend off the man with a broom, which he simply smacked aside. Then she and her companion bolted from the room, clutching their weapons. The duo began by firing a warning shot. Morrison took aim after failing to discourage the invader.

Morrison called the encounter unbelievable.  She didn’t sure if she had struck her target after firing the bullet. She found the proof she required when she looked down at his chest.

Rosario-Torres was transported to the hospital by deputies. Sadly, he died as a result of the trauma to his torso. Morrison, for her part, is shocked by the incident but acknowledges she isn’t going down without a fight.

Morrison has subsequently struggled with her conscience on the subject. While she tries to come to terms with killing someone, she realizes the seriousness of her act and the ramifications not just for her but for everyone who knew the guy.

Morrison used fatal force to protect herself, according to a neighbor. She characterized the old woman as a “strong lady” who can look after herself.

Virginia Morrison has not been charged by cops. The matter was referred to the State Attorney’s Office, where officials will decide whether or not to bring charges.

Morrison, for one, is devastated by the result but fortunate to be alive. She realizes, as do responsible gun owners, that with tremendous power comes great responsibility. Luckily, at her age, she is more than able to safeguard herself.
