93 Yr Old Man Weekly Buys A Box Of Hershey’s Chocolate And Hands Them Out To Strangers.

Hey! Who doesn’t like a good Hershey’s chocolate bar? When the sweet tooth kicks in, I love ’em. 93-year-old Bob Williams likes ’em too. So every weekend, he walks into his local dollar store in Long Grove, Iowa, and buys a box of them. Not those small, regular-sized candy bars… but those really big ones.

Bob, however, typically doesn’t enjoy them himself. He gives one to the cashier, and then the person waiting behind him in line. And then he walks the downtown area handing them out to everyone he sees… young, old, men, women, happy, sad…everyone. He has been doing this for the past 11 years and he’s known as “The Candy Bar guy.” It’s estimated that over the years, Bob has handed out about 6,000 chocolate bars.

When officials at the Hershey’s company found out about Bob from a story in a local magazine, they decided to include him in one of their marketing campaigns.

Says one woman in the Hershey’s video about Bob: “I’m not sure how it started, but it’s just such a heartwarming act.”

Hershey’s liked Bob’s act of kindness so much that representatives told him he never had to worry about buying them anymore… they were going to send them to him so he could hand them out.

So why does Bob do it? Because it puts a smile on everyone’s face. And THAT’S always worth it.
