It’s exactly how I feel in my life right now as my kids are entering college and getting ready to leave our version of the nest i.e our home. It’s comforting to know that Life imitates nature so very very intimately. I didn’t at all expect the ending to be so stark. In fact, just like my life, I didn’t expect the birds to fly off in the end.
It was the perfect thing for me to see, even though I am acutely aware of what I am experiencing in my life right now, and it’s implications.
