After being attacked by pitbulls inside his home, a 7-month-old baby is battling for his life.

On Thursday, a 7-month-old infant boy was gravely wounded after being mauled by two pitbull dogs in the 4400 block of Dix Street in Northeast Washington, D.C.

The youngster has been named as Semaj S, who has a broken skull as well as other wounds and is presently battling for his life in the hospital. Every day is a battle for him, the victim’s aunt stated. Along with Semaj, the dog owner’s daughter was seriously hurt in the altercation, according to D.C. police.

Her sister had left her baby with somebody who was supposed to monitor her baby for her, Semaj’s aunt said. That individual ended up leaving her baby with somebody without her knowing. During that time, the caregiver’s pit dogs attacked the 7-month-old. On Sunday, the infant was transported to the hospital and put to the critical care unit, where he underwent significant surgery.

A lady unconnected to Semaj was also seriously wounded in the incident, a Washington D.C. official said. It is presently unknown what occurred to the dogs that drove them to assault the 7-month-old. The cops are still investigating to see if or not the dog owners will face prosecution.
