‘ANGEL IS GONE’: Pastor’s wife dies after being struck by stray bullet while sleeping

A week after being hit in the head by a stray gunshot, the wife of a Georgia pastor died.

Lashunda Heath-Ellison, wife of Temple of Faith Ministries Pastor Mac Ellison, was hit in the head last Wednesday at 12:30 a.m. at their DeKalb County home.

On his Facebook page, the pastor stated that Lashunda Heath-Ellison, his wife, received her wings today, October 10, 2022. He feels that being absent from the body is equivalent to being present with the Lord. Please allow them some time to process this. His Perfect Angel is no longer with them, but she will live on in their hearts forever.

Mac Ellison stated that he awoke unexpectedly to discover his wife unconscious and summoned their kids into their room to assist in turning her over in bed. When she was rushed to the hospital, medics discovered a gunshot in her skull.

The family later discovered a hole in their wall caused by the gunfire.

He awoke to really heavy breathing. And there was blood everywhere, the pastor stated.

The bullet went through the headboard and directly through the top of his wife’s head and stopped here in her sinus, he explained.

There have been no arrests in relation to the incident.

The DeKalb County Police Department received a call at 12:43 a.m. on October 5 about a person shot in the 2300 block of Wilkins Ct.

A projectile entered the home from the outside and struck the victim, it was established. Lashunda Heath-Ellison has died since the inquiry began, according to a police spokeswoman. At this moment, no one is in custody. The inquiry is still underway.
