Anne Heche’s death certificate reveals she will be laid to rest in famous cemetery

According to an official death certificate, Anne Heche will be put to rest alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest legends at the iconic Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

According to the certificate, Heche’s remains were cremated on August 18, a week after the 53-year-old actor was certified legally dead under California law following a catastrophic vehicle accident.

It was revealed that the “Six Days, Seven Nights” diva would be laid to rest at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, a well-known tourist destination in Los Angeles that serves as the final resting place for some of Hollywood’s most beloved stars, including Judy Garland, Burt Reynolds, Valerie Harper, and Estelle Getty.

Heche’s oldest son, Homer Laffoon, 20, said in a statement issued Tuesday that Heche would have agreed to the cemetery he and his brother, Atlas, 13, picked for her.

Homer and his brother Atlas would like to express our gratitude to Tyler, Noelle, and the whole team at Hollywood Forever for their love, empathy, and generosity of heart. They are confident that their Mom will enjoy the location they have picked for her; it is lovely and tranquil, and she will be among her Hollywood peers.

Most significantly, Hollywood Forever is a live area where individuals go to see movies, concerts, and other events, said the statement. She was their mother, but the compassion and outpouring of love during the last few days showed them that she also belonged to her fans, the entertainment world, and, now, the ages.

Homer was born in 2002 to Heche and ex-husband Coley Laffoon. Atlas was shared by her ex-boyfriend James Tupper, with whom she co-starred on the ABC show “Men in Trees.”

Heche’s death certificate stated her death date as Aug. 11, with “inhalation and heat injuries” as the reason for her death. Another key reason that led to her death, according to the document, was “sternal fracture due to blunt trauma.”

On August 5, Heche was engaged in an automobile accident after crashing her Mini Cooper into a residence in Los Angeles, sparking a catastrophic fire. The Emmy winner was intubated and in a coma after the accident. In addition, she sustained serious anoxic brain damage.

On August 12, a representative for Heche said that the actor had been pronounced legally dead under California law, but her heart continued to beat and she was maintained on life support until it could be established if she was a match for organ donation.

They have lost a brilliant light, a caring and joyous person, a loving mother, and a faithful friend, remarked Heche’s family at the time.

Anne will be greatly missed, but her gorgeous boys, legendary body of work, and impassioned activism will continue on. Her boldness in always speaking her truth and promoting her message of love and acceptance will have a long-lasting impact, the statement stated.

On August 14, Heche’s spokesman revealed that the “Wag the Dog” actor had been taken off life support.

A Los Angeles Police Department representative informed on Aug. 11 that a preliminary test of Heche’s blood found she had narcotics in her system at the time of the automobile collision. The LAPD announced at the time that the collision will be investigated as a criminal.

Following Heche’s death, the LAPD stated that the incident would no longer be investigated.
