Babysitter, 40, ‘Takes Fentanyl Pill And Falls Asleep On Top Of Nine-Month-Old Baby.’

Drug abuse have a negative impact on your mind, body, and soul. Illicit drug use influences your everyday life in a variety of ways including your profession, your relationships, and your education. Here in this story a drug made a woman’s life a mess and made an innocent child lose it’s life.

A lady in Florida was charged with the death of a nine-week-old infant she was babysitting after reportedly ingesting fentanyl tablets, falling asleep on the newborn, and choking the little one.

Mary Elizabeth Evans, 40, of Panama City, Florida, has been accused of exasperated murder of a child as indicated by the Bay County Sherriff’s Office. The Bay County Sheriff’s Office emergency rescuers arrived at a residence in Fountain, some 30 miles from Panama City, on June 6, 2021, to find Evans unconscious, sitting on the side of a bed, with her upper body crushing the newborn she was babysitting.

After being transferred to a local hospital, the young infant was confirmed dead. Evans was resuscitated by medical personnel. It’s unknown whether the accused has a lawyer who can speak for her.

According to prosecutors, Evans had purchased drugs earlier in the day and had ingested them by crushing and snorting the pills before her babysitting duty with the newborn.

A blue pill that examiners found on the floor of the room where Evans had gone unconscious  was subsequently affirmed by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to be fentanyl. Evans allegedly used fentanyl before passing out on the victim and choking the infant to death, according to police. Specialists verified that Evans had bought opioids before that day and had ingested them by squashing and grunting the pills prior to dealing with the kid,’ police claim. Evans was found unconscious on the side of her bed, her upper body totally covering the infant,’ according to the report. Evans was set up for Bay County Jail as she looks for her first court appearance.

The amount of her bail has not yet been made public. It’s unclear if she would have pleaded guilty.

May the little child’s soul rest in peace.
