Mathew Ansara, Eden’s first son from her first marriage to Michael Ansara, died on June 25, 2001. Mathew was discovered dead in his car, and before paramedics could determine the reason for his death, it was found that his body had not been traumatized.

Eden’s son was a fitness trainer and actor, and his death was unexpected due to how he kept his body in shape and had a healthy lifestyle.

Eden was apparently arranging his wedding for September 1, 2001, which provided another degree of shock for the mother.

Mathew died of an accidental heroin overdose, it was subsequently revealed. Eden said that her son had been in and out of treatment for 14 years before his death.

Initially, the actress stated that she had not seen any behavioral changes in her kid. Eden didn’t know how to assist him because he was full with wrath some days and her adorable child on others.

Eden also stated that her kid was too young to recognize he needed counseling and that it was a miracle that he lived until the age of 35. But, 20 years later, she admitted to having a lot of remorse about her son’s death.

Eden found it difficult to cope with his addiction and its unpredictability. She remembered the wonderful moments they had when Mathew was clean, yet things were about to change. According to the actress, drugs are so mysterious. It’s quite aggravating.

Eden and her first husband, Michael, had been trying to conceive for seven years when Mathew was born. The former couple also discovered they were expecting their son just as Eden was ready to begin “I Dream of Jeannie.”

Eden subsequently became pregnant with her second son, and after eight months of carrying him, the doctor told her that he had died in her womb.

It felt dreadful, the actress admitted. She questioned whether there was anything wrong with her body, and the aftereffects of this terrible encounter drove her to despair.

Eden stated that she returned to work immediately and lost a lot of weight, however every time she looked at Mathew, she felt grateful to be his mom.

Some days were better than others, and while she was grateful to have her kid, she couldn’t help but struggle to move or get out of bed.

Eden believed she had to do everything on her own at the time, but the experience taught her the value of seeking assistance. She also does not go a day without thinking about her sons.

Eden has been through some difficult times, including the death of her son Mathew, a stillborn child, and two unsuccessful marriages. The actress even claimed that her second marriage ended because of the postpartum depression she had after her final pregnancy.

Eden relied on God and the support of her spouse of 30 years, Jon Eicholtz, to deal with these difficulties. The actress stated that she believes we all have a purpose in this world and that she strives to be a constructive citizen.

Eden’s mantra is to put her best foot forward while being strong for those around her. She also confessed that the death of her boys would certainly haunt her for the rest of her life, but she intends to spend the rest of her life doing everything she can to make them proud.

She approaches life with enthusiasm. She is 91 years old and shows no signs of slowing down. She feels so youthful, she said. To prove it, the actress stated that she was undertaking intensive exercise at the age of 87.

Her fitness program included spin classes, weight lifting, and frequent gym trips; today, her trainer comes to her house and they perform resistance training.

Eden stated unequivocally that her life’s objective is to be productive and imaginative. The actress volunteers with a number of organizations, including the American Cancer Society, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, the March of Dimes, Save the Children, and Childhelp USA.
