Church Plans A Prom Party For Special Students.

In Memphis, Tennessee, a group of churches banded together to put on an incredible event called the Memphis Joy Prom. It had a red carpet, a make-up station and limos and tiaras for everyone!

The churches had a prom dress drive ahead of time, and they even covered tuxedo rentals, and no one attending the special prom had to pay a dime. And the event, attended by more than 110 people, was pretty amazing.

Anyone over the age of 16 could attend… and that meant people in their 30s, 40s, 50s and so on could go and have a good time. And they were especially encouraged to come if they had missed their own high school proms. It was open to those with disabilities, and pretty much anyone who wanted to come and have a good time.

About 350 volunteers worked to put the event together, and it was a huge success.
