Coco Austin Defends Herself Against Those Shaming Her For Breastfeeding 5-Year-Old

Coco Austin is unconcerned about how society perceives her breastfeeding journey. Coco said in 2021 that her then-5-year-old daughter with Ice-T still breastfeeds sometimes and that she will never urge her to quit.

“Chanel still has a thing for my boobs. It’s a significant bonding experience for a mother and her child, “Coco said.

She is aware that others are judging her for continuing at Chanel’s age. Many people feel that breastfeeding should end around the age of two. “Many individuals believe, ‘Oh, you’re not getting nutrients beyond two years old.’ ‘What’s the point?'”

“And I’m like, my child’s eating steak and hamburgers, she just loves a little snack every now and then, and this is more of the mother-daughter bonding. Why deprive her of that?” Coco went on.

“If she doesn’t want it, that’s where you put an end to it. But I’m not going to just say no.”

Coco also points out that opinions around nursing fluctuate across the globe. “Europeans finish about seven years old,” she explained.

“They kind of fade away when the child no longer feels the need to do it, and that’s how I feel.”
