Couple shamed for buying $130 engagement ring has a message for the saleswoman who called it “pathetic”

Discovering the individual with whom you want to spend the rest of your life is a unique experience. Often people get caught up in the technicalities and lose sight of what is actually important: love.

This young pair was only concerned with their love for one another, but many around them had some thoughts…

When Ariel and Quinn McRae were both 20, they met. After many phone conversations, the pair met and embarked on their first formal date. They loved chicken wings and each other’s company on their date. They drove about aimlessly and sang together, gradually falling in love.

Ariel remembers having such strong love for Quinn that she would have married him even after their first date. The young pair, nevertheless, chose to wait. They believed their relationship was genuine after two years together and planned to elope.

Ariel remarked of their love that she has never been this happy in her life, and she couldn’t fathom spending it with anybody else.

The pair was ecstatic about their choice. They purchased their rings from Pandora. The pair decided on a sterling silver, pearl, and cubic zirconia set. They were overjoyed with their decision.

Their delight quickly changed to humiliation as one of the staff remarked on their decision, “Y’all can you believe that some men receive these as engagement rings?” “How pitiful (sic).”

Ariel was furious as she watched her fiance’s face collapse. He was already depressed at not being able to purchase Ariel’s fantasy ring. The remark made him feel even worse and like a loser.

Another employee at the store assisted them and invoiced them on their $130 total.

Ariel intended that employee to know that when you found the correct person, it was not about material stuff. She stated in her popular post that what counts isn’t the ring. What counts is the love that goes into purchasing one. She  concluded that she would have married this man if it had been a 25 gumball machine ring. She wondered when the country slipped so far… Why do material items correspond to love?

The two were married a few days later as intended, ignoring the unpleasant words they had received.

While the young couple was fully conscious of their financial constraints and the fact that they could not pay for a lavish spectacular wedding, they realized they had the most important thing: love. They thought their love was strong enough to get them through the tough moments.

Material goods, according to Ariel, are unimportant in the face of love. She wrote her spouse was so frightened of her not wanting him because he couldn’t afford a piece of jewellery. He was worried that her feelings for him would fade since he couldn’t acquire the wedding set she wanted.

Ariel received innumerable comments from individuals all around the world relating with her message and fully believing with her.

Ariel simply wanted everybody to understand that it was the individual, not the ring, that mattered!

She explained she wanted people to grasp that. A ring is only an added bonus. You’re not marrying somebody only to get a ring. You marry somebody since you adore them.

What a lovely love message. When it comes to love and marriage, it is critical to realise that material belongings do not and should not count.
