Dog Falls Asleep In The Rescuer’s Lap.

Bella had been neglected most all of her life; a life spent mostly in a cage at an animal shelter in Russia, with very little human contact. She was in rough shape. She had fleas and problems with her liver and her spleen, all of those things untreated.

Then one day, a staff member of a rescue group called Howl of a Dog visited and could see the pain in Bella’s eyes. And when she reached out her paw to that staffer, well, there was no turning back. That staffer knew Bella needed some special love, so she took her. And then she, along with other staffers, took Bella to a veterinarian.

While there, Bella became calm, almost knowing that she was out of that shelter and being taken care of, and now safe. When she arrived at the Howl of a Dog shelter, she was exhausted, and passed out on her rescuer’s lap.

Wrote Howl of a Dog on its Facebook page: “She was so trusting and relieved to be finally rescued that she simply fell asleep in my arms while we were heading to the veterinary clinic.”

The vet’s office did Bella quite a bit of good. They gave her a medicated bath to knock off those fleas and gave her some special supplements to help with the spleen and liver issues. Then they went back to the Howl shelter, and Bella was given plenty of food.

She soon settled in to her new surroundings. After a few weeks, Bella was a lot healthier and a lot happier.

Says a Howl official: “Bella is doing fine now, receiving all the care she needs to regain her health and joy. Once she’s completely recovered she will be up for adoption.”

And the staff at Howl is certain she’ll be taken in soon by a very loving, caring forever family. And we’re sure Bella will return all that love in her own special way.

Howl Of A Dog later shared an update saying that Bella had been adopted and now he is living in a happy life.
