Dolly Parton pays homage to Leslie Jordan, saying she is “hurt and horrified” as if she had “lost a family member.”

Dolly Parton has paid homage to her “lil’ brother” Leslie Jordan, who died in a vehicle accident on Oct. 24 at the age of 67.

The country music singer paid tribute to the late comedian and the enduring impression he made on everyone he met on Instagram.

Parton opened her statement, well, she is heartbroken and startled as if she had lost a family member. Leslie and she had a particular link, and she believed the rest of the world felt the same way about him.

She understands people often say, ‘Oh, they will be missed,’ but that couldn’t be more true in this instance. All who knew him personally and everybody who was delighted by him will miss him.

“Rest in peace, lil’ brother,” Parton said at the end of her message.

Parton and Jordan collaborated on a song called “Where the Soul Never Dies” for Parton’s gospel album “Company’s Comin'” last year.

The “Call Me Kat” star talked to the Los Angeles Times about working with the legendary musician and why he decided to create an album.

He stated to the newspaper that he had been a fan of the “9 to 5” singer for years and had driven hours from his hometown of Chattanooga to her high school in Sevierville, Tennessee, expecting to see her. They eventually met in Nashville recently.

Jordan recalls, he couldn’t even breathe. When he got there, she was all dressed up for a Christmas special she was doing. And they sat there, veiled and socially disconnected, and they just glommed on to one another.

Following their encounter, he stated several others requested him to describe Parton in person.

He expressed that one doesn’t have to meet her to have a sense of who she is. He simply adored her.

Jordan rose to social media fame during the COVID-19 epidemic by posting amusing viral Instagram videos that cheered followers’ spirits during difficult times.

Jordan claimed in an interview that his Instagram following motivated him to release “Company’s Comin.”

He stated that he began sharing videos of himself singing hymns alongside artist Travis Howard on the social media network on Sunday.

There would be thousands of comments, with people saying, ‘It provides me tremendous peace,’or ‘I’m an atheist, but I still want to hear this music,’ for example, Jordan explained. So he thought, one knows what, whether one were raised Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim, or whatever, one would find some consolation in this music.

Brandi Carlile, Eddie Vedder, Chris and Morgane Stapleton, T.J. Osborne of Brothers Osborne, and Tanya Tucker all made appearances on the album.

After receiving the awful news, several of Jordan’s co-stars recounted their memories of working with him and conveyed their sympathies.

Jordan’s “Will & Grace” co-stars sent poignant tributes to him, who played Beverly Leslie on the NBC sitcom.

Sean Hayes shared a snapshot of himself and Jordan on set on Instagram. Hayes wrote that his heart is crushed. Leslie Jordan was one of the most amusing persons he has ever worked with. Everyone who met him adored him.

There will never be another like him, Hayes remarked. A one-of-a-kind talent with a huge, compassionate heart. Leslie, his dear buddy, he will be missed.

Crushed to read of the passing of @thelesliejordan, the funniest and flirtiest southern gent he ever knew, fellow cast member Eric McCormack tweeted. The pleasure and happiness he provided to every episode of #WillandGrace was tangible. He died 30 years too soon. Sweet man, you were cherished.

Jordan’s spokeswoman said on Oct. 24 that he was traveling in Hollywood in the morning when he drove into the side of a building near Cahuenga Blvd. and Romaine St. He may have had a medical emergency before the vehicle accident.

After his death was announced, a photo of Jordan smiling was posted on his Instagram profile.

The love and light that Leslie shared will never be burned, and they ask one to share one’s memories and support one another at this difficult time, the message added. In the coming days, they will reveal a sneak peek at a project Leslie was extremely proud of and eager to share with the world.
