Exhausted Mom Sits At Restaurant And Stranger Shames Her For Breastfeeding So She Fires Back.

Georgia Herzog, Elizabeth Herzog’s daughter, was born prematurely at 32 weeks, weighing only 3.5 pounds.

Georgia, who was 5 months old at the time, was taken to an Iowa restaurant by the first-time mother. She began nursing her daughter like she always did throughout her lunch. Only this time, the personnel made her feel ashamed and degraded.

Georgia dislikes covering the baby’s face with a nursing blanket since she is extremely frail.

A woman may nurse the mother’s own kid in any public area where the woman’s presence is otherwise permissible, according to Iowa law. Elizabeth is fully aware of the stigmas associated with nursing in public, yet she hopes that experiences like hers will lead to more tolerance.

Elizabeth was nursing her baby at her table when the manager approached her. He poked her on the shoulder and whispered something that prompted her mother to up and go.
