Father of Shooting Victim Learned His Daughter was Killed from Her Best Friend

The massacre at Robb Elementary School in Texas is nearly impossible to accept, but this video reveals the personal toll it has had on the parents of the deceased.

Anderson Cooper of CNN met with Angel Garza, the father of Amerie, a 10-year-old girl who was among the 19 kids slain in the shooting.

His agony is overwhelming, and his narrative is just difficult to comprehend. Angel, a medic, was outside the school shortly after the incident when he noticed a bloodied little child. He assumed she was hurt and attempted to assist her. She sobbed as she stated that she was fine, but she had witnessed her best friend being shot. She informed Angel that the child was not breathing and appeared to be dead, and she then disclosed the identity of the victim: Angel’s daughter, Amerie.

Angel’s sadness is evident. He tears as he tells that his child had just made the honor roll and was really attempting to aid in an emergency by dialing 911 when she was shot.

Angel and his wife have a 3-year-old kid who clearly adores his older sister, and they’ve attempted to explain to him that Amerie will never return home… ever again.

When inquired about Angel’s wife’s condition, he just requests that people pray for her.

Members of Congress should see this film, but there’s not much hope that they’ll ultimately open their eyes and understand we’re all sliding into darkness.

May all those innocent people who lost their lives rest in peace. May the families suffering their unimaginable loss find peace and comfort.
