Georgia boy, 11, died in a car accident while on his way to enjoy his school’s fall break; his sister is struggling for her life.

Tracey Moseley, a Georgian mom of seven, would have remembered this year’s school autumn vacation fondly. She had planned a family vacation in Texas, and her children were ecstatic as they prepared to meet other family members in the region.

Most families would never wish for their family trips to end, particularly when visiting relatives, familiar landscapes, or hometowns.

It’s a time for parents to relax in the company of other relatives while feeling calm and at ease. They also never have to be concerned about their children because many eyes are on them.

While this would have been the best of Tracey Moseley’s family vacation, it was not since she and her children never made it to Texas, their vacation spot.

During their road journey on Sunday night, a hit-and-run motorist who was in the wrong speed towards their car, and the family saw a tragic incident that took the life of Tracey’s only son, 11-year-old Robert.

Tracey and her children, hailing from metro Atlanta, drove to their holiday destination in the early hours of Sunday morning in a Chevy Trailblazer. They were accompanied by three others in the car.

The Trailblazer was roomy, said to the bereaved mom, who talked to reporters through Zoom call, and everybody fit comfortably inside. There was ample room for everyone to sit, she said.

Tragically, a fast car collided with theirs on a short piece of road near Beaumont that was heavily constructed. Jamel Madison, who was driving the family’s car, was positive he was in the correct lane.

Tracey swiftly checked on everyone after the mishap. She called their names and received answers. When it came time for Robert to respond, there was a deafening stillness, which forced her to pass out.

She said her daughter said she saw him after the car flipped. She didn’t anymore once it stopped.

Robert had been flung from the automobile and had died as a result of the collision. He died at the site, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Tracey’s only son, Robert, died on that fateful day. Furthermore, his 16-year-old sister, who sat next to him, suffered horrible wounds, leaving her in a serious situation.

She is presently undergoing therapy, but there is little chance that she will completely heal and return to her pre-accident self. Tracey’s twin sister, Stacia, explained to her aunt that she may be paralyzed from the neck down. She won’t be able to move for several weeks. She is awake. She isn’t saying anything, but she is conscious and awake.

The family is devastated by Robert’s demise and his sister’s illness. But, while they expect to continue living with the latter, they will never see their adoring kid.

The family is horrified that their “little Robert” is no longer with them, and they are unable to accept this new reality. Tracey spoke candidly and emotionally on how difficult it has been to operate without her child.

Robert just turned 11 months ago. He was Tracey’s sixth child and her first son. His mother’s Facebook photographs of him revealed him to be a lively and joyful young man.

Tracey would never see her son again, but he left behind a memory that was impervious to death. Everyone recalls him as a kind and quiet youngster who never spoke back rudely.

Nothing from the other motorist has been heard, not even his identify. Stacia, on the other hand, appealed with him to report himself and help the family find peace.

Despite Robert’s death, one question lingers in the thoughts of his family members. Why did the 11-year-old request a seat swap with his sister nearly an hour before the mishap?

Following the tragic event, a local TV station broadcast it on its Facebook page, and many expressed their condolences by reaching out to the family with prayers and positive comments.

We hope and pray that Tracey’s daughter gets healed and recovers her ability to walk. Our thoughts are with the family as they grieve the death of Robert, who has gone to join his brother angels in paradise.
