Husband is shot by wife’s lover who secretly lived in home for a year.

In a gunfight with his wife’s boyfriend, who had been residing in their house for more than a year, an Alabama man was shot in the chest and wounded.

On August 15, Frank Reeves, 58, was informed by his wife, Tracy, who was high on meth, that there was an intruder in their Creola house. However, the invader was her lover, Michael Amacker, who was also intoxicated on narcotics.

Reeves was wounded in the chest and wounded during the battle. He retaliated by shooting Amacker in the leg and elbow. Both guys were rushed to the hospital but were not gravely injured.

Tracy purportedly helped Amacker maintain his presence in the house hidden by providing him with food when he needed it. He also kept disguised by urinating in bottles and minimizing his restroom visits.

According to Chris Murphy, officers discovered the pee bottles in a room where Amacker had been residing.

According to neighbors, the Reeves were quiet and did not interact with the neighborhood much. When the gunshots rang out, one neighbor assumed it was thunder from an approaching storm since it was “that loud and so near.”

Neighbour Kenneth Wilson stated that they watched them bring out the suspect and also the man who was wounded, and they both looked to be okay. They didn’t say much. In fact, the suspect did not say anything and appeared to be completely out of it.

Investigators believe Tracy and Amacker were high on methamphetamine at the time of the firefight.

Tracy was too drunk and ‘incoherent’ to be interrogated at the scene, according to authorities.

Amacker was captured and charged with attempted murder, ownership of a handgun with a changed serial number, and narcotics possession after being discharged from the hospital on Wednesday.

There was no bond indicated in the prison records.

Since Amacker is already a convicted felon, ICE may file further charges against him.

Tracy Reeves was accused of narcotics ownership as well.

A murder-for-hire investigation is ongoing to determine why she informed her lover that her husband was an invader.

Officers assume it was a set-up to get the husband out of the picture because the pair had been isolated for a short time.

However, Mobile County Sheriff’s Captain Paul Burch stated that “they looked to be working things out.”

Burch stated to a local station that people on meth – one really can’t apply a regular reasoning to their brain process, so you always have to take that into consideration.

They not only have paranoia, but they also can’t keep their mouth shut. So, if there was a nefarious scheme, Amacker most likely notified some other individuals about it.

He also stated that this was one of the strangest situations he had ever encountered.

He explained to a local TV station that he is still trying to figure out how someone can be staying in your house and you’re not aware of it. He continued he hasn’t seen anything like that in 30-plus years.

According to deputies, Amacker is well-known in the meth community. He has been arrested several times on crimes ranging from drug manufacture to drug possession.
