I was sleeping in my car: Steve Harvey shares story of how he struggled to fame.

Broderick Stephen Harvey Sr, better known as Steve Harvey, is an African-American television personality and comedian who explained how he came to host Apollo Live, now Showtime at the Apollo. Harvey claims that before he became famous, he used to sleep in his car with little to no money.

The Steve Harvey Morning Show host revealed that he had only $35 (N14k) on him at the moment.

He was sleeping in my vehicle in 1991. He  had $35 (N14k) in his pocket. Everything he had could be crammed into two suitcases and  began telling God about his dreams.

Fast forward, he recounted that he received a call from The Apollo requesting him to appear on the show. The comedian said that he first met D.L. Hughley and Jamie Foxx on the same night. “This is his Apollo tale and how he got the job as host. This was his opportunity to go back in time.”

Steve Harvey presented his experience to elevate an audience for one of his programs, as well as thousands of spectators worldwide. He added that everyone has a turn back moment; it’s the point at which one may either continue forward or quit up. One thing is certain: if you give up, it will never happen. God is always on time; faith is everything. He is never late.

Several individuals were moved by the video. Here are a few of the reactions to share with you:

“Amen God and Jesus Christ are trustworthy kings, and when they bless you, bless someone else,” Shrylane Lyons remarked.

“Why am I bawling?” said Ashley Dead Eye Jones. “I adore Steve Harvey!”

Vivid Nougbode wrote: ”I never get tired of listening to this story every time. Do you think there’s no God? Think again.’

“Thank you for sharing your amazing and inspiring tale,” Laura Dillon remarked. What a great lesson about remaining committed to God! Continue to shine and share your light!

The world-famous American comedian gave an interview in which he answered questions regarding his time in Ghana, revealing some surprising details.

In a video clip that circulated on social media, Steve was heard advising young Africans from leaving their motherland in search of brighter pastures. As per him, America is not what most young Africans believe it to be as individuals like him desire they could live in areas like Ghana where they would always feel protected.

One day at a time…. Have faith in God.
