Inmate’s Thank You Note To His Jailer Goes Viral.

In Auburn, California, an unidentified minimum-security inmate working in the booking area at the Placer County Jail wrote the jail a thank you note.…. Not something you would typically expect from an inmate to his jailers. But he was absolutely sincere.

One of the inmates at the jail was trying to escape, and a female officer caught him. As they were struggling, another inmate jumped onto the man and wrestled with him until other officers showed up to sort things out.

A short time later, when his jail time had been served, that man who jumped in to help the officer had no way to get back home to Missouri, so the jailers bought him a ticket to get there.

Soon after, he wrote this note, with the last line referring specifically to the fracas he was involved in: “I wanted to thank all of you for the kindness you have showed me. You made me feel like a good person when I needed it most! Working in booking has been entertaining to say the least! I know it’s not all fun and games in there at all and in fact can get quiet hairy. Thanks for not tasing me…”
