Jane Fonda has announced her cancer is in remission: ‘I am feeling so blessed.’

Jane Fonda is overjoyed with some excellent news.

On December 15, the 84-year-old actor and campaigner revealed that her cancer is in remission. Fonda, who celebrates her birthday on December 21, started by commenting on her blog and Instagram that she had received the “greatest birthday present ever!”

Last week she was told by her oncologist that her cancer is in remission and she may cease therapy. feels very lucky and fortunate, Fonda wrote. She wants to thank everyone who prayed for her and sent positive thoughts her way. She is convinced that it contributed to the positive news.

She noted that she is particularly thrilled since, while her first four chemo sessions were quite simple and she was just weary for a few days, the final chemo session was terrible and lasted two weeks, making it difficult to achieve much of anything.

The “Grace and Frankie” star confirmed in September that she had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and had begun chemotherapy treatment.

However, Fonda added in her article that once the effects of her chemotherapy wore off, she traveled to Washington, D.C. for her first live, in-person Fire Drill Fridays event.

She went on to discuss her struggle against climate change and provided some insight into the current political context around the topic. Fonda further urged people to call or contact your senator(s) and insist that they oppose this Dirty Deal.

She ended by thanking all for doing that, and thanked well wishes. She also wished everyone a joyous and healthy holiday season.

In her Sept. 2 Instagram post disclosing her diagnosis, Fonda stated that cancer was a teacher and that she was paying focus on the lessons it held for her.

One thing it’s teaching her already is the significance of community. The process of expanding and developing one’s community so that they are not alone. And the disease, along with her age nearly 85 clearly emphasizes the significance of adjusting to new circumstances, she added.

Fonda had previously battled cancer. In 2010, the “9 to 5” actress was diagnosed with breast cancer. The tumor was removed by doctors before it spread. In 2018, she also had a malignant tumor on her lower lip removed.

She stated that she is “not frightened of going.” She is prepared and she had a wonderful life, she remarked, adding, she doesn’t want to die, but she is conscious that it will be sooner rather than later.

Fonda will have lots of family and friends to celebrate her good news and 85th birthday now that her illness is in remission.
