Johnny Depp testifies he’s never ‘struck any woman in my life’

In a Fairfax, Virginia court on Tuesday, the Oscar-nominated star actor Johnny Depp took the stance in his defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The star spoke in detail about Heard’s accusations of domestic exploitation, his past with substance mistreatment and their bond in his approximately three-hour testament, which will carry on Wednesday.

Depp has taken a legal action against Heard for $50 million in a Fairfax County, Virginia court over a 2018 Washington Post in which she penned about her experience with domestic exploitation. However, the actor was not mentioned by name in Heard’s section.

In the years earlier to its publication, Heard had alleged that Depp damaged her face after tossing a phone at her in their Los Angeles house. Depp rejected the accusation and was not accused with any offense.

Depp admitted in his testament that he and Heard had fights during their association but said that he never reaches the point of striking Heard in any way nor have he ever hit any woman in his life.

Depp, who is well-known for his work in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, also defined his parents’ boisterous bond and the vocal and physical mistreatment that he and his siblings have gone through by their mother. He also purported that his first involvement with taking controlled substances occurred when he was approximately 11 years old and would take his mother’s medicament medicines to spurt the messy nature of what they were living through.

Depp claims Heard’s opposite the editorial page steered to financial losses for him, including being thrown down from forthcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies after he managed the franchise for 15 long years.

Depp said that his profession turned down after he was alleged of exploitation. He said that he didn’t merit that and neither did his children and the people who had believed in him.

The hearing initiated last week and Depp said that his testimony was the first opportunity he got to speak about this case in full length.

The actor come across Amber on the set of “The Rum Diary” in 2009, wedded in 2015 and went on to be involved in an argumentative split for months with allegations of rude conduct imposed by both the partner’s sides.

In his testament, Depp stated about the start of his relationship with Heard and said that all he can recollect that Heard was too good to be true.

The duo firms their separation in August 2016 and issued a combined declaration which read in part, “Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love.”

Heard had been failed in her efforts to get the suit terminated. She filed a $100 million denouncement countersuit against Depp in 2020, which is continuing.

During the course of last year, Depp lost a case in the UK over an article that sued Depp was ferocious to Heard while they were together. The UK’s High Court ruled in the producer’s support.

Throughout the hearing, Depp said the tabloid’s statements that he was ferocious to Heard were totally false. However, the Judge said in his decision that the newspaper’s assertions had been shown to be significantly factual.

Heard displayed a message in advance of the on-going denouncement hearing on her confirmed social media accounts and stated that she never named Depp but rather she wrote about the price women pay for speaking contrary to men in power. She wrote that she carries on paying that price but optimistically when this case settles, she can move on and so can Depp.

She further said that she has always upheld a love for Johnny and it brings her abundant discomfort to have to live out the details of their life together in front of the world.
