Johnny Depp’s glamorous attorney wins huge online following for witty put-downs during trial

As his followers post footage of the beautiful defense lawyer ‘grilling’ Amber Heard in their $100 million defamation trial, Johnny Depp’s lawyer has amassed a tremendous internet following.

Camille Vasquez, 37, drew a lot of attention as she cross-examined Heard on Monday and Tuesday.

At one point, she persuaded the 36-year-old actress to reveal that, despite earlier professing to have done so, she did not donate her whole $7 million divorce settlement to charity.

As part of her line of inquiry, the 37-year-old California lawyer slipped in some jabs.
‘Didn’t Mr. Depp get you the job in Aquaman?’

Vasquez inquired on Tuesday after hearing audio of Depp insulting the film during a dispute.

Fans of Depp are now praising the lawyer, tweeting photographs of themselves wearing ‘I adore Camille Vasquez’ T-shirts and memes depicting her as Thor, the Nordic god of thunder and a Marvel figure.

They’re even producing TikToks set to romantic pop music featuring the couple sharing looks, holding hands, and conversing intimately.

The two were beaming as they walked into the Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse on Wednesday, a day after being photographed hugging in a photo that went viral on social media.

On Tuesday, as she stepped out of the courthouse to hundreds of spectators, Vasquez gestured and grinned when asked if she was dating her celebrity client.

During the cross-examination section of the trial earlier this week, interactions between Vasquez and Heard turned hostile.

Vasquez blamed the actress for tampering with a photo of her reportedly wounded face.

She inquired of Heard whether she altered these pictures. To which she replied never.

Vasquez inquired whether Heard had increased the saturation to make her face seem more red? Heard replied as being untrue.

Vasquez further alleged that Depp is simply another of Heard’s numerous victims and blamed her of assaulting her ex-girlfriend, citing a 2009 arrest at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

‘Didn’t you commit violence towards Miss Van Reed during your relationship?’ Vasquez inquired. ‘Isn’t it true that it was covered in the press?

‘Is Mr. Depp the only domestic partner you’ve attacked, Ms. Heard?’

The talks occasionally deteriorated into heated back-and-forth.

‘All right, Miss Heard. I received the response. Thank you very much. ‘You disagree,’ Vasquez said as Heard sought to explain that a photo of Depp with a black eye had been ‘photoshopped.’

Vasquez’s inquiries put the actress on the defensive as she attempted to demonstrate that her ex-husband orchestrated a smear campaign against her in punishment for a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she declared herself as a survivor of domestic abuse.

Fans of Depp have moved to defend the attorney alongside their beloved actor.

‘Be Camille Vasquez in a world of Amber Heards,’ one user tweeted.

‘I’m still a Johnny Depp fan, but I’m also a Camille Vasquez lover,’ one fan stated.

One man shared a photo of himself wearing a ‘I love Camille Vasquez’ T-shirt.

There have even been memes glorifying the attorney as a noble or angelic character.

In one, her face is placed on the body of Thor, a Marvel comic superhero based on the Nordic god of thunder and lightning.

Legal experts say Depp’s massive fan base, built up during a decades-long profession that included three Oscar nominations, has benefited both him and his attorney.

‘Johnny Depp is winning on social media—so is his lawyer,’ said Juda Engelmayer, a crisis consultant who previously defended convicted serial sexual harasser Harvey Weinstein.

‘In the past, women who have backed males accused of sex crimes have faced internet backlash. Camille Vasquez, on the other hand, appears to have profited from Johnny’s compliments.’

Videos using the hashtag #CamilleVasquez have received 454 million views on TikTok.

Engelmayer explained that at the end of the day, everything comes down to affability. Everyone wants to love Johnny Depp. He’s been here for 35 years. These individuals want to support him if he is backing someone.

Camille was born in July 1984 and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California in 2006.

From 2007 to 2010, she attended Southwestern Legal School in Los Angeles and worked at one law firm prior to joining her present firm, Brown Rudnick LLP, as a partner.

She does not have any publicly accessible social media platforms.

Recordings of her sitting close to Depp in court, holding his hand while chatting to him, and fetching him drinks have gone viral.

Some followers believe the lawyer and her celebrity client are in a relationship.

One TikTok video shows the actor laughing and staring at his lawyer as she speaks.

On the screen, the words ‘the way he looks at her’ appears.

Another video, set to Taylor Swift’s love song ‘Wildest Dreams,’ shows Vasquez bending down to listen to Depp while clutching his hand in her hands.
‘Wanna be her so much omg,’ commented one reader.

Raquel Pennington, a former member of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s inner circle, rejected charges that Heard lied about her wounds at the hands of Depp on Wednesday.

Instead, Pennington alleged that the Aquaman star was wearing cosmetics to conceal her wounds as she prepared to appear on James Corden’s ‘The Late Late Show’ in December 2015.

According to Pennington, Heard demonstrated her bruised lip and lost clump of hair to her makeup artist and hairdresser.

Pennington also expressed concern over Heard’s’ self preservation’ while living with Depp.
