Little Boy Attempts To Raise Money For His Grandpa In Hospital.

In Las Cruces, New Mexico, Richard Sanchez was suffering from third-stage colon and rectal cancer, and needed chemotherapy after a large tumor was removed. And his care bills were extremely high, as they seem to be with any medical procedure.

His grandson, 9-year-old Angel, hated to see his grandfather going through such an ordeal and he wanted to help. So Angel, with the help of his mom and his uncle, set up a lemonade stand in front of their home to raise money for Richard.

When people in New Mexico found out about the young boy’s plight, they showed up at his stand. Many didn’t even want the lemonade he was offering; they just wanted to donate money to help his grandfather. Crowds there got so big that the local police had to give Angel a special permit for his lemonade stand.

In a very short time, with the stand and a GoFundMe page, Angel had raised more than $5,000 to go toward the medical bills.

Says his mom, Chastity: “He just wants to help his grandpa in any way that he can, and for a nine-year-old, this is the best idea he could think of and I’m so proud of him for doing it.”
