After 27 years of marriage, Marjorie Taylor Greene’s husband files for divorce: “The marriage is shattered.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and her husband of 27 years have decided to retire. Perry Greene filed for divorce on September 28, 2022, and according to court papers, the couple had been apart for some time.
Marjorie was 18 years old when the couple married in August 1995. They are the parents of 3 kids.
Perry has asked for the divorce to be filed under seal, claiming that the record would include confidential personal and financial information, public publication of which would significantly influence the parties’ private rights.
There are few information surrounding the breakup, but both Marjorie and Perry have made comments.
Marriage is a fantastic thing, and she is a big believer in it, Marjorie stated. Their civilization is built by a husband and wife forming a family to love and protect.
Together, Perry and she established their family and produced three amazing kids. He gave her the finest job title one can ever earn: Mom. She’ll always be thankful for how terrific of a parent he is to their kids. This is a private and personal problem, and I would appreciate it if the media would respect their privacy at this moment.
Marjorie has been his greatest friend for the last 29 years and she has been an excellent parent! The family is the most important thing they have done, Perry told of the divorce.
As they take different roads, they will continue to concentrate on our three beautiful kids, their future goals, and their friendship, he said.
Some are perplexed by the timing of the revelation, given that Marjorie is up for reelection in just a few weeks.
This is also not the first time the couple has faced divorce. Marjorie filed for divorce from her husband in 2012, after allegations that she had an affair with “tantric sex guru” Craig Ivey and another with a gym manager.
The couple apparently intended to proceed with the divorce but called it off two months after filing.
Marjorie is a divisive personality in Washington, DC, due in part to her QAnon beliefs and conviction that both the Sandy Hook and Parkland school killings were “false flags” and staged operations.
