Cedillos allegedly exited the pub with her pals on foot and then contacted a friend to pick her up in the 1000 block of Stratford Road. When the buddy came, she was unable to locate Cedillos and contacted her. The call was apparently terminated when the companion heard a male voice shouting in the background. Cedillos then phoned the buddy back to check on her. Cedillos did not appear at work the following day, and her family reported her missing.

Detectives found throughout the inquiry that Gastelum reportedly picked up Cedillos and drove her back to her residence. Detectives allegedly discovered proof that she was murdered in her flat and then relocated after her murder. Gastelum was arrested in Oregon on suspicion of second-degree murder and second-degree rape.

Despite the fact that Gastelum was accused in her killing, Cedillos’ body was not discovered until lately.

According to the Moses Lake Police Department, detectives received information from Gastelum’s smartphone on Thursday, May 12, that put him in a remote region of Walla Walla County the day after Cedillos went missing. Detectives “focused on the location” and found a “dead female in a sleeping bag covered with tree limbs and leaves” almost immediately.

Detectives were unable to positively identify her as Cedillos at the time, but she was eventually positively identified by the Spokane County Medical Examiner.
