Peter had served with the U.S. Marines for some time, and when he finally went home, he started suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and depression. His mom was worried. So were his friends and the rest of his family.
They all loved him and really wanted to help him out. So last Christmas, after speaking to a doctor about his condition and getting some advice, Peter’s mom got him about the best possible gift she could think of to get him.

When Peter opened the box with the holes in it, he was immediately transformed by his present. It was a tiny, little puppy. As Peter carefully pulled the little Beagle dog out of the box, tears started running down his cheeks, and he smiled the biggest of smiles. Peter had grown up with another Beagle, but while he was serving his country, she passed away, which added to his suffering during his deployment.

His reaction to his new friend, however, was priceless, and his family and friends agreed that his new little buddy was exactly what was needed – and just what the doctor ordered.
