Ohio Boy, 8, Risks Life to Rescue Sister from Kidnapper’s Arms and Fast-Moving Car.

Nita Coburn got a call from her daughter, Angela, on a Thursday afternoon in April 2019. Coburn returned to her daughter’s house soon after, picked her up, and took her to Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio.

Chance Blue, eight, and his ten-year-old sister, Skylar Weaver, were also in the car. When their great-grandmother pulled over outside the hospital’s emergency room, the siblings were in the backseat.

Coburn stated that she assumed she had secured the car before assisting her sick daughter into a wheelchair. She stated that she would not have left the kids alone in the car otherwise.

But what she didn’t understand at the time was that she hadn’t locked the car. A safety mechanism, according to Coburn and Angela, prohibited the doors from being locked while the keys were in the ignition.

Coburn felt very uneasy reliving the events of that Thursday afternoon while her two adored great-grandchildren were in the car, the doors of which were unlocked. She expressed that she wanted to cry every time she thought about it. It’s the most sickening sensation on the planet.

According to Coburn and surveillance footage from the scene, a guy took over Coburn’s car and drove away from the ER door with the two children inside. Coburn stated that when she observed her car moving away from where she had parked it, she raced after it as fast as she could.

The frightened grandmother stated that nothing else meant to her except the safety of her kids. Coburn recounted finally getting up to the speeding car and trying to unlock the driver’s side door.

Despite her best attempts, Coburn claims the man in the driver’s seat slammed the door shut. She related that she saw he had a hold of Skylar the second time he banged the door shut.

Coburn claimed she yelled and grasped the door handle again after realizing the suspected carjacker had a hold of her great-granddaughter, desperate to save Chance and Skylar.

Video surveillance from the frightening moment shows Chance, eight, yanking Skylar out of the claimed abductor’s grasp and out of the car via the back passenger door, the two tumbling out of the moving car together.

The CCTV footage clearly showed that the little kid was committed to save his sister and would not allow a stranger to drive away with her. The siblings remembered the horrifying details of how the suspected carjacker jumped into the driver’s seat and started the car.

Chance stated that he swiftly unlocked the door, allowing him and his sister to flee the fast-moving automobile. But, Skyler claimed, the man grabbed her sweatshirt and yanked her back into the car.

Chance finally succeeded in releasing his sister from the supposed kidnapper’s grasp, and the children leaped out of the driving car. He tumbled out, raced back to the car, and grabbed his sister out, Chance remembered.

Meanwhile, Coburn clung to the driver’s door, unconscious that her great-grandchildren had gone. She noticed Chance and Skylar racing toward her as the suspected carjacker raced away. Rather than halting the car, the suspected kidnapper, according to Coburn, accelerated and dragged her down the pavement. Her biggest worry as a mom was about to come true when something incredible occurred.

According to investigators, the stolen car was discovered a few streets away, and the driver was apprehended. Dalvir Singh, 24, was detained on accusations of kidnapping, felonious assault, and grand theft, according to police.

According to accounts, Chance and Skylar ran immediately to the hospital’s security, who chased and apprehended Singh.

The Middletown Division of Police released security footage from the scene, demonstrating how Chase’s fast thinking, bravery, and selflessness saved the day. The caption stated that this tiny fellow is a hero. Without a doubt. He dragged his sister out of the automobile, oblivious to his own safety. That is extraordinary for his age, and Officers Kirby and Engleka did a fantastic job in locating the perpetrator and apprehending him without incident.

While Coburn and her daughter were overjoyed with the children’s attempts, they couldn’t stop praising their wonderful great-grandmother.

Chief Muterspaw stated, “This little guy is a hero. No question. He pulled his sister out of the car with no concern for his own safety. That is incredible at his age and outstanding work by Officers Kirby and Engleka to find the suspect and take him down without incident. So proud of their work”
