Open-Heart Surgery Patient Wins $1 Million From A Get-Well Lottery Ticket

According to lottery officials a man from Massachuestts named Alexander McLeish was given a scratch-off lottery ticket by a friend in a get well soon card, Alexander won a $1 million lottery prize while he was still recovering from an open heart surgery.
Earlier that month, Alexander McLeish received three scratch-off tickets from his friend in a get well soon card, as he scratched off the first three letters on the crossword lottery ticket, it revealed his initials A, W and M, it was like a sign from the universe for him, later he revealed the word “heart” on the bottom row of the puzzle as he continued matching letters to words on the lottery ticket, for a game called $5,000,000 100X Cashword.

On the $20 lottery ticket he won the second top prize for the game which was $1 million out of 10 total prize winners for that amount.

According to lottery officials McLeish had also won $1,000 on a lottery ticket which was given to him by his friend for his birthday several years ago.
McLeish received a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes when he chose the cash option to claim his $1 million prize on Friday.
