This is the awful instant a personal trainer flew into a fit of anger after finding his partner cheating on him with a homeless man.
CCTV footage shows Eduardo Alves, a personal trainer, walk up to a parked car and glance through the windscreen, only to see his wife inside with another man.
Furious Eduardo bangs his hands on the glass before opening the car door and climbing inside to give the man a thrashing. The instance took place in the neighbourhood of Jardim Roriz in Brazil’s Federal District, in the early hours of March 10.
The wife, a churchgoer, later told a pal that she had received a message from God to support the rough sleeper. Eduardo’s wife and mother-in-law had left home to help the man who was living rough.
The couple later split but Eduardo was unable to contact his wife, who was not replying his phone calls and messages.
Eduardo later found the car his wife had left home in, parked by a primary school and after approaching the car, he came across the jaw-dropping sight.
Footage captured by CCTV shows how Eduardo delivering a beating to the homeless man, who is then seen getting out of the vehicle. But Eduardo follows him before bringing him back to the car and giving him one more thrashing. His wife is then seen lying on the ground outside the car, distressed at the unfolding state of affairs.
Eduardo apparently told the police that he first thought it was a rape that he was seeing through the windscreen. However, his wife, whose name was not given, told officers that the relationships she was having with the man at the time were in fact consensual.
She told the police that she liked serving susceptible people through the church that she goes to. And she supposedly later told a friend that she had received a message from God to help the displaced man she was trapped with.
The displaced man was taken to the hospital with bruises and two black eyes. He is said to be improving well from the wounds he sustained.
The Brazil’s investigative police force carries on investigating the case.
