My Hero
My hero is the Marine who saved my dad’d life. His name is Lcpl David Houck and he was from North Carolina.
In 2004 my dad went to Iraq and was in charge of a few Marines. One day bad people were shooting at them and they got stuck in a house. Then LCpl David Houck found out that the bad people were in a room. When he opened the door he used his body as a shield to protect my dad and his Marines from getting shot.
Because of him, my dad was able to come home to us. He is in heaven now but we will never forget him because my new baby brother is named David Hawk La Force! I wish I can thank him one day.
