Teddy Bear Was Given A Free Luxury Vacation When Left Behind By Its Owner.
Anna Pickard had just spent a great holiday at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa in Hawaii for the New Year. It was perfect for all of them. Of course, what trip to Hawaii wouldn’t be?
But that perfect time for them took a little bruising after they were back home in England and realized that Anna’s son, Doozer, had left behind his cherished stuffed animals… a teddy bear and a seal.
So Anna tweeted out: “Having a crappy Monday? I was too. Not only is it raining and I was back at work, but we realized last night that Doozer had left his beloved teddy bear at the hotel we stayed at, and that when we had to admit it, he was going to go from being worried (last night) to most upset.”

Not only is it raining and I was back at work, but we realised last night that Doozer had left his beloved teddy bear at the hotel we stayed at, and that when we had to admit it, he was going to go from being worried (last night) to most upset.
Anna quickly wrote to the hotel and asked if, by some chance, they found the stuffed duo and could possibly send them back to her.
In short order, a member of the hotel staff responded back that the crew there had, indeed, found the teddy bear and the seal, and would soon send them back to the family.
In the meantime, however, the staff wanted to make sure that Doozer’s buddies had the best of an extended vacation. So the staff started posting pictures online… for Doozer’s benefit… of his stuffed friends enjoying a manicure, relaxing by the pool and visiting the spa, as well as meeting with many of the staff during many other adventures.
Anna said Doozer was confused by the photos of his friends doing all that cool stuff, but at the same time, he was thrilled they were getting such attention. The photos of all those adventures were shared with others hundreds of times.
Anna was happy the staff could provide such excitement to her young son, and she advised: Make sure to tip your housekeeping staff.
Good advice. For me, that goes well beyond being a five-star hotel.
