Teen who ‘pushed his stepmother down the stairs’ charged with murder

A Georgia youngster has been accused of murder after supposedly pushing his stepmother down the stairs, causing her death the next day. Austin Perot, 18, was detained on February 8 after a domestic incident with Malgorzata Bozek.

Bozek sustained several skull fractures in the incident, which authorities believe was caused by Perot pushing her down a stairway at a Marietta residence. Perot was accused with aggravated violence at first, but the charge was increased to murder after Bozek died on February 9 as a consequence of her injuries.

He was placed into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and is currently being detained without bond. The cause of the fight has not been revealed by police.
