Tom Selleck Believes Being A Father Is The “Most Important” Role He Has Ever Played.

Tom Selleck has had a hectic life, having served in the military and gaining international renown for his work in television and movies.

While it’s incredible that he’s managed to maintain the public’s admiration and respect throughout his career, maybe an even more astounding achievement is that he’s kept his family life secret throughout the years.

The Magnum P.I. actor has encountered many hardships over the years, however his golden rule has always been to prioritize his family.

It’s no wonder, therefore, that Selleck told in 2012 that being a parent is the most important position he’s ever had.

In 1988, Selleck and his wife, actress Jillie Mack, welcomed their daughter Hannah Magaret into the world. It was the day that altered it all for Selleck.

The actor even relocated his family to a ranch in Ventura County, California, believing that it would provide them with the finest opportunity to raise Hannah away from the glare of Hollywood.

Fast forward to present, and that decision appears to have paid off handsomely.

Hannah not only grew up in a secure, rural setting, yet living on the ranch drew her closer to the animals that would impact her own profession: horses.

The now-30-year-old made a career as a world-class equestrian, accumulating honors and recognition along the way.

As a child, her parents attempted to raise her as normally as possible considering her father’s line of work, she explained.

Those horses were a terrific method for her to have her own successes apart from what her parents did. Hannah began horseback riding at the early age of four, and she hasn’t looked back since.

Tom Selleck never ceases to amaze me, and I’m sure I’m not the only one!
