Doing the right thing. It can be hard sometimes, but if you don’t do it, who will? and let’s see if you can put yourself in these situations…
Stepping up to the plate to do the right thing can be awful tough, but, hey, for the right thing, it’s worth it. Rumors were flying around town that Courtney Adeleye’s daughter’s teacher was having to take public transportation to get to work. And Courtney wanted to get to the bottom of it. And she learned it was true. She had been catching several buses over several hours just to get to work. No one should have to do that… least of all.. a teacher.
Courtney knew that a teacher’s life was busy, and she knew that the extra time for this commute made it all that much busier. So she and her husband made a decision. They were gonna buy that teacher a car. So they went to a car lot, picked one out and had it specially wrapped in a blue ribbon. And when they showed up to meet the teacher at the school, gave her the car and handed the keys over to her… well, it was all that teacher could do to say anything at all. She cried, hugged Courtney and her husband, and thanked them several times.
Courtney said she and her husband would much rather buy something for someone who needs it than to spend it on silly stuff they just don’t need.
Courtney… what an amazing woman, and one who should be a great inspiration to all. And, of course, her husband’s a pretty darn good guy too.
