Woman Praises Male Gym-Goer For Actively Not Staring At Her While She Squats.

On TikTok, a male gym-goer is being complimented when a female spotted him purposefully looking away from her throughout her set.

TikToker @pinkytoey shared a video of the sweet moment with her followers on the social media network. Many others flocked to the comments section after seeing the guy’s courteous reply to praise his actions as a nice difference from the “creepy” stares women sometimes had to put up with at the gym.

The TikToker can be seen in the video recording herself as she approaches the squat rack and prepares to start her set. As she does so, she notices that the guy next to her is about to do the same thing.

When the nice gym-goer realizes the same thing, he moves back and says she may go first. As he waits patiently, the camera zooms in on his face to show how he turns away his gaze and glances up at the ceiling to make her feel better.

The TikToker describes this as a “typical gym man moment of looking someplace else to not make a female feel uncomfortable, adding that her sports bra “doesn’t have the best coverage.”

On May 4, she posted the video to her TikTok profile, captioning it, “gym guys like this >>>.”

The video has received over 3.4 million views and hundreds of thousands of likes since it was released. Meanwhile, it’s evident from the responses that he’s not the only male who has perfected the art of appearing inattentive in order to avoid making women feel awkward.

“That’s the ‘oh wow beautiful lights,'” one user joked, while another said, “That’s the ‘wow the ceiling truly is white, good,'” and a third said, “Ah, the classic ‘how many square feet does this gym have’ gaze.”

A fourth person said that they had done this strategy so many times that they knew their gym inside out. “I’m sure I can tell you how many dots are on the floor of my gym because of the precise interior design pattern.”

In response to multiple comments criticizing her for filming him, @Pinkytoey stated in a remark that the man in the video also granted her permission to broadcast the video, so no harm done.

Despite the fact that other users wished for a gym romance and urged the TikToker to “marry him,” @Pinkytoey claimed that she is already in a relationship.
