Woman Rescues Baby Elephant Who Was Washed Away In Flood, Now He Follows His Human Mom Everywhere.

We must love and protect nature and wildlife. People need to understand that it’s important for animals to live in their own habitat. Animal life is as special as human life. Thanks to nature and wildlife lovers for making their world upside down to protect and save nature and wildlife.

For the last two decades animal hero Roxy Danckwerst has been caring for orphaned and sick animals. A baby elephant named Moyo meaning “of the heart” was just a few days old when she tried to cross a flooded river with her elephant family but got washed away. He was left alone on the shores of Lake Kariba, in Zimbabwe who was found by rangers.

Moyo was taken to Roxy’s rescue center in Harare called Wild is Life where he has adapted quite well and follows Roxy wherever she goes. Roxy has taken care of many elephants before sending them back into the wild but Moyo might take time since he is afraid of everything and sick too.

To gain his trust Roxy would sleep beside him everyday. Now they have become so close that he follows her everywhere, even on the couch.

There is a clip from the BBC show ‘Nature’s Miracle Orphans.’ where you can see the cute friendship and Moyo’s love for silver things.

When Moyo will be ready to go to the wilds it will definitely be an emotional, hard moment for them but Roxy understands this is for the best.
